I tried this and was 6-off, then tried again with the same path and found the solution. Genuinely have no idea where I accidentally cut moves. 

Cool puzzle though! I quite enjoy puzzles like this that require you to be very precise in where you leave certain blocks, so as not to harm yourself later on. Great fun to figure out.
