I didn't really get the author's note for this one. It says that 'the outside part on the right' (which I took to understand the three loner blocks) is the quickest, but it turns out that the solution is different.

3 tries...isn't hard. I couldn't find any other ways of getting 2 off apart from the direct and obvious approach, though. edit: I found them now.

Got this much quicker than expected--10 tries. Very, very neat concept though! I stared blankly at it for the first few minutes thinking 'how does this work?'
