VERY interesting level, I had a lot in mind, while solving it. My getting closer was similar to how SirDavid describes it (in number of steps, esp.). 140 tries. :D

Wow, great level ! 50 tries (29 for the last two moves: was constantly making some shortcut that proved to be ''long cut'', in the end, LOL).
