I do love that level. I found two different paths, but one too long to make sense. The other brings me 4 off. I tried to cut without success for now. Maybe there is a 3rd one? Will see ** one year later** I found a completely different route, but still 4 off. Let's see how much I can optimize on this one. Yeah! 2 off! There is hope LOL. Based on other comments, I suspect I have to focus on bottom right corner :D **9 months later** I finally solved it!!!! YEAH! Now, what happened to me here deserves to be shared as a little warning about savings. I was restarting always from the same one, located at the exit of the bottom right section. Only... it was the wrong one! I had another one at same location with 2 steps less! 5 minutes ago, I finally use the correct saving and couldn't believe my own eyes... In fact, I had solved the level long ago, but due to lack of attention... *banging head on table* Take care with savings!

** 16 years ago** At first I was very far. Then, I suddenly had a massive cut bringing me down to 12 off. Then I came down to 8 off, that with 2 completely different routes. This level is really great because there is no boredom thanks to the many possible variations in each sections. I still have ideas about what to try. That's good, otherwise, I would probably give it up. :D ** 1 hour ago** After 16 years, I just achieved to cut 2 more and reached 345! It makes me as happy as if I would be winning... ROFL ** 10 minutes ago** I solved it! I SOLVED IT! I can't believe it... I'm bouncing around my chair... YEAH! I'm a bit angry at myself, because I felt that one half of the route is optimized, so I should have focused on the other half. But due to my lack of self-confidence, I kept trying to optimize that part further, idiot me. And now, the 2 steps I did cut were in the other part! It was the proof I needed to swap to the other half. And I won. So one hint for all: If you can't cut anything anymore on one half of the route, ignore it and work on the other half. Even if it seems impossible, it can only be there and you will spare yourself a massive bother and time loss.

Finally reached 2 off. Wonder how long I will need to cut the last 2... ** 11 months later ** I can't believe I solved this! I used same trick as always when I'm stuck for ages on a level: I reset of my mind and by forcing myself to do routes I don't believe in and know wrong, but just to create new perspectives. Out of those crazy routes, one brought me very close and I won on next try. It was for me really a case of "seems longer, is shorter".
